I think the only way to easily do it would be with the long hood truck the only powered one. I believe AHM had some with only one truck powered.
Many years ago someone was developing a "Spud" truck the had motors on the axles but I don't know if any thing ever came of that.

I've seen pictures of this locomotive a couple of times over the past couple years.
The RS3 chassis that became the donor for the MT-4 Slug had one motor on the front truck and the rear truck was powered with wires running to it from the motor.
That's what I'm probably going to end up doing is just having the one truck powered. It doesn't need to have a lot of power as I plan to use it for either yard switching, locals or just to sit in the deadline. Endless possibilities.
