Good evening folks
It started out with extreme cold this morning and improving to just darn cold this afternoon.
Due to issues with the UTI, surgery was postponed. The main reason is the straining that I have been experiencing at times. Since straining is the most likely cause of the hernia it was felt until the UTI is under control no surgery. No sense in fixing the hernia only to have it return. Overall, for the entire weekend I felt lousy. We did not go out. My wife is going through getting used to lowering and possibly eliminating one of the insulins she has been taking for 30 plus years.
We did some light cleaning, and a couple loads of laundry. The refrigerator is no longer dispensing water. I thought it might be the filter and changed it. It is not the filter. Could the water feed line be frozen? Probably not but in our house who knows. At times we swear we have a water demon. Why you ask. The list of recent water problems are basement flooding for no apparent reason, two leaks in the heating lines in the basement, the steam heat furnace needing to be replaced, leak in a pipe inside the wall from the main bathroom (still trying to nail that down without ripping out the living room wall, moisture causing the paint to bubble on the living room and master bedroom exterior walls (still trying to find the source), frozen master bathroom pipes, and now the refrigerator water dispenser.
On the bright side. I ran my Broadway Limited PRR P5a Passenger Type pulling 20 cars of express reefers, express boxcars, and passenger cars. The loco could have easily handle more. I took some photos (see the monthly photo thread) and a video which I need to edit. I continued inventorying some new rolling stock and organizing the storage of said rolling stock. I built several Accurail kits. So, the weekend wasn’t a total loss.
