Good evening folks

Posting late. My body needs to adjust to being back on day shift. I fell asleep after I got home and before dinner.

Weekend went better than I thought it would. My wife and I went to the farmers’ market in Wayne, PA. We picked up some steaks and pork chops. We also grabbed some goodies. We stopped at our favorite produce store, and my wife got some flowers to plant. Sunday, I cleaned the fish pond filter while my daughter took my wife out to a local vineyard where they made flower arrangements using tea pots while they enjoyed a high tea. My daughter was supposed to make the steaks for dinner but since they were full from their outing I had to order pizza for my dinner.

With the plastic off the layout, I ran my Rail Cleaning Vehicle on Saturday. Sunday, I tested a Broadway Limited CNJ M1S 2-8-2 blue box locomotive that I got off eBay. The locomotive runs very smoothly and the lights, horns, and bell work. The only downside is it came with a McHenry coupler so that will have to be changed out to a Kadee. Since it was new old stock I will need to run it for a while to break it in.

I had a very productive weekend. I built new Walthers passenger platforms to replace the ones that had been damaged by being knocked off the layout one too many times. I began assembling the Bachmann Spectrum City Scenes Trade Tower. I got three walls assembled. I apparently am a glutton for punishment because I keep working on structures that have a ton of windows that literally takes days to install just the windows.
