Another really nice day underway in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. 62 currently and headed for around 80 but a little breezy with 25 mph winds later. Rain starts Sunday and last through Tuesday, at least according to our very good friends at the National Weather Service.
Yesterday was pretty much a total washout. I did make a grocery run early in the morning but otherwise accomplished nothing. I had plans for a nice bike ride but when the time came I just said "Screw it. Not going." I did go to a football game for one of the great-grandsons late in the afternoon. Had a pleasant visit with his mom on the way there and back.
This morning I plan to round up another herd of acorns and send them off to the deer buffet area about a block north of me. Then after lunch I need to go visit a friend who is facing some challenges in her life. Also need to see about visiting her husband who is reported to be in a memory care unit.
Gas is up to $4.15 as of yesterday afternoon.
