The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Good afternoon folks

I am actually posting before midnight for a change. This week has been fruitful. I added decals for numbers and names on seven passenger cars. I have changed couplers and wheels on a bunch of rolling stock. I have broken in several locomotives. I was able to run a 20-car Amtrak train with a triple-header of F40PH locomotives. On the bad side, I had two locomotives go down. The first one right out of the box, I put on the track and applied power. The motor screamed, but the locomotive did not move. Rapido authorized a return for warranty repairs. The second locomotive went through the paces of a break-in session with no issues. I was slowly making up a train a few cars at a time, and then it went over a switch and died. I got an overload indicator on my power pack. I spoke with Walthers, and I am waiting for a warranty repair authorization label, and it will go back to them.

With the predicted rain this weekend, my wife and I are trying to figure out something to do. Hopefully, we both feel better this weekend than we did last weekend. We just don’t want to be stuck in the house all weekend. I need to make a pharmacy run and possibly a grocery store trip. There is always laundry. We must prepare for the contractor coming Monday to begin the restoration work for the living room and foyer.

I am going to work on converting an IHC New Haven RPO car from hook and horn coupler to Kadees with the #505 conversion kit. I am going to break-in another locomotive and then use it to make and run another train. I am also going to work on making and running a New Haven passenger train. I have some more numbers to add or change on several pieces of rolling stock.

I hope everybody has a good evening.
Tom
