Here is one in fresh paint, October, 1978. The yellow dot in the black square indicates the wheels are ok. A white dot would indicate a banned wheel that had to be replaced by the end of the year of 1979. You will still see some cars with these dots if they haven't been painted since 1979, but they are getting pretty rare.
