Sorry Nacho, somehow I missed your response in here. There is nothing I "need" to know about the line, just a craving for the history of it... pictures, etc. My family vacations up at Big Lake every summer and I always end up wandering the old roadbed looking for any memorabilia left behind and wondering what it was like when the trains were still running. This year, we hiked up to where the line crossed over the Little Colorado. I always fantasized that there was a big curved trestle going across there but I've found a picture with diesels that shows it was just fill and a couple of culverts. Still, it could have been a trestle in the steam days... who knows? One of the employees at the lake store actually knew quite a bit about it and he told me that there was an old log skidder in RR cove. That's why there's no trees left around Big Lake 'cause they cut 'em all down, drug 'em down to the lake, floated 'em across and loaded 'em over at RR cove. I'll have to go look for that book you mentioned. So far, all I've found is a sentence here and a discreet mention there... so to speak.
