You can make a link work simply by typing it in:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.the-gauge.net">http://www.the-gauge.net</a><!-- m --> and it will be automatically parsed (formatted to work). The http:// part is optional.

If you want to use text to describe a link like this Big Blue Train Forum, the required bbcode looks like this:

[url=http://the-gauge.net]Big Blue Train Forum[/url]

In this case, the http:// is needed. The descriptive text can be anything.
