I know, I know!!! This post is waaaaaay overdue. But let me tell you about the Gold Lion series De Soto. Over the years, being in the auto parts business, I've met a lot of interesting people with cool cars. One of the people was the gentleman who owned the Gold Lion. He was a regular in the store I worked at in So.Cal. One day he asked me if I might be interested in buying a "unique old car." Well, some alarm bells went off, because being "unique" might mean that there isn't much left of it. I went to his house after I got off work, and we went back to his garage. After we entered, he turned around and closed the door behind me. He then turned on the lights. All I could see was something covered with a tarp. As he removed the tarp, carefully, I could see a beautiful, like new De Soto all decorated out with Gold Trim. The grill was gold, the "chrome" on the side was gold, and it had a large Gold Lion on the sides of the front fenders. All the trim, inside and out, was gold!! What a beautiful car!! He opened the hood, and showed me the big, (and I do mean big,) 413 Hemi engine. He asked me if I'd like to hear it run, so I said sure!! He started it up, and that was the sweetest sounding engine I have ever heard! A nice mellow rumble through the exhaust.

I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.
