Hi Kurt
I love this layout and it isnpires me to get cracking with my NW US/Canadian border project. All to often we are seduced by big trains and even bigger units (me included) and we forget that 'playing' trains is the most fun. Most of us haven't got the time or the money to do the mainline justice, least of all affording 100 car trains. Layouts like yours prove what can be done in a relatively modest space. Winter is here too (I am in Scotland) -6C this morning. Dark nights and that means time to get modelling.
Good to join the forum. this is my first post although I have been lurking and watching your progress for a few months.
If anyone is puzzled by 'Gridwatcher' as a sign in. They (Grids) are class 56 diesels delivered new to British rail from 1976 and all but extinct now. The first class i have watched from birth to death (nearly!)
Cheers
Simon
