. After I ballasted the track on the left extension, I built the first background structure for this side of the layout. Again it is a simple shoebox design and was very easy to to. That is why I only show the picture of the finished (but yet unpainted) structure and not how I built it. The structure is about 2' long and covers about half of the back of the extension.

I'm wanting to start scratchbuild some buildings... is this building really as simple as it looks? Sheet styrene plus strips? Can you post your measurements here?
