Do you have the capacitor installed? if you do try using a larger value capacitor . Like a 2200 uf. Also is the decoder a micro (TSU 750) or a TEU1000?
If it is a TSU 750 try mounting the decoder on a weight or some metal for a heat sink.
I have installed so many Tsunamis I have lost count. I have had very few proplems. Most were mine.
