This layout is truely amazing, it gives me great inspiration, yet makes me feel that I could never achieve such realism.

I was going to say "Never say never.", but then I'd be guilty, too. How about accentuate the positive, instead? We've all been at that point where we've said "I could never achieve that.", whatever your particular "that" might be. However, there are lots of talented people here willing to show their techniques, and answer questions or offer advice. You may be surprised at what you can do.
