Update: Still in the deconstruction phase and haven't got too far due to a bunch of issues at work that have all but exhausted my feet and my brain! Me and my rod and cooler full of mullet will be hitting up the Virginia surf to see if any bluefish are along the coast in about a week and a half, so I hope to have finished tearing down one more mountain and the removal of a roundhouse and turntable are top priority. If I'm lucky, I may be able to start pulling up ballasted flex track and get the lengths soaking to loosen up the white glue bonded ballast.
My wife asked that I get detailed plans drawn up for her consideration as to space allocation. (Stage 1: Obtain wife's interest.... whew, that step is out of the way!)
I believe I will do what I've seen advised elsewhere and that is to build a model of the model. So, after I get back from my little coastal respite, I will work on that idea. That will help my better half envision better!
