For any of you interested in Short-lines there is a website called "Foothill Rails" that features information on just about every shortline in Northern California.

The site features a page on the Butte County Railroad which used to come through my town until the tracks were removed in the 1970s, I even have the honor of having two of my pictures on the site at the bottom of this page: http://www.trainweb.org/foothill/frbutteco.html
The site is really interesting and defiantly worth a visit!
