Here are a couple of pictures of a branch line train setting some cars into a pickle plant. The track is ballasted with the blasting abrasive from Tractor Supply. It comes in 50 pound bags and was $7.95. I used the 40/80grit which is the finest. It is a great representation of cinder ballast.
