Snow causes derailment in NJ

Hmm, usually they go slowly across a crossing where the snow might be well packed into the flangeways, but then if there were huge piles of snow they'd have to hit it with at least a little speed to knock it down. Amazing how packed snow and ice can lift a locomotive off the rails. Water is a funny substance.
