I would expect an outfit like GERN to have established a research facility where they are heavily into R&D, and preparing to release "New and Improved GERN" at any moment. Certainly, given the fortunate position GERN occupies in the market, it's competitors aren't standing still.
Gern is like Arm & Hammers Baking soda, you add it to products to increase productivity or create a product, it's simple and there for can add it to a plethora of materials, it's been refined and perfected as a multi-use product. The only way competitive you can go is to "add" to an existing good product like toothpaste or a detergent already from the factory
