I am not happy with the five semi prototype buildings placed on a plaza like area in the center background. They do not really fit in the industrial area with rail served industries.
I am thinking about an other approach to model the more modern part of Vernon (instead of the low profile area around Santa Fe Ave.). A new modern road with sidewalks in the center running to the background with modern (slab) building on both sides. The properties would have loading docks for trucks (left hand) and parking lot for limousines (right hand). The right hand building might have a fancy glass entrance area.
ps. Don't worry. The five building rest under the layout. They can be put back with a minute.
