Absolutely - there are are many ways to have fun.
The jobs that you are talking about are some of the "non-revenue" work that's required to get the revenue...! Technically, switching the yard doesn't even pay, except that it sets up a paying job. A lot of people like to model the revenue operations with the interesting and creative industries and switching jobs while the rest is just "fiddle yard" stuff.
