I do remember the elevated line and haw we would sometimes cringe :o as it creaked 
and groaned 
as a heavy boiler-ed steamer would cross over that section of the main.
And Steamtrains, here is a shot from a trespassing railfan of one of the mountains taken from inside of the roundhouse. At this time I have 2 of them with a 3rd in the works. I'll post some pics of them tomorrow.
