That's one of the real benefits of modular, or portable layouts. They do generate interest in the hobby, and yeah, there are the "occasional" compliments.
Even "clearcut", the layout looks great!
I always make sure the display hall has a double door exit, so I can get my swelled head out, at the end of the show.
