Thomas, thanks. Will go ahead with that approach when more roofs are to be made. Only minor problem are some poorly glued rims.
Tyson, Larry, the turf survived the vacuum session unharmed (only two Coke cans are reported missing
). My method of doing turf is a robust one.
1. Sputter water on the ground
2. Spread the turf with two fingers
3. Very careful sputter a fine mist of water again on top of the turf. Be patient or the still dry turf will fly everywhere.
4. Add the usual water/glue mix from ballasting with a pipette
It is as robust as concrete or ballast after the glue has set. It looks soft but it feels like stone. It is a good base for further details.
