A real bargain

I remember ...I think ....another shop in the Scottsdale area , Jerry's Trains ?.....bit of a grumpy guy and you paid cash , no credit cards . I think I bought a Campbell's kit there if I recall .
Coronado was one of the most cluttered shops I've seen but the owner seemed to know where everything was .Yeah , lots of narrow gauge .
I don't remember any cats at Roys , just that Roy was quite personable ....asked where I was from and what I was building , etc. Lots of Canadians visit that area so he was used to that bit . It was a very clean shop ....this is about '97-98 or so .
I also miss going to the race track ....Manzanita .....really like the dirt sprints .

It's been probably two or three years since I was at Roy's in Mesa. My wife and I had to leave after just a few minutes the last time we were there. The stench coming from the cat litter box in the back room was too much to take. We might stop by again, but we rarely get into that area since we moved to the west side of town. If anyone has been there recently, let me know what it's like now, cats, no cats, stench, no stench, good selection, bad selection. I know this, I have bought a lot of used cars at reasonable prices from there, but getting nauseated is not worth it.
