Looking at your list of shippers and consignees on the other post, how does someone say I have a car I want to send? Should it be via a post on that thread? That way, it might prevent multiple offers.

Also, it seems to me that it might be worthwhile to specify what length and era of cars you want, or say you have no preference. If I decided to ship a 50-foot cushion underframe boxcar with COTS stencils, a guy with a 1940s layout might not appreciate it! By the same token, if my particular industry will only take 40-foot cars, I might not know what to do with a 50-foot.

I guess if you see a product on my line you could receive on your layout you would make a request for it and if you had car requirements it could be made at that time. Then if I have rolling stock I would be willing to send it goes into motion. If not you could send a car to pick it up.I guess some of this could be PM until order is complete then post it. and the travel photos to follow. as far as modern or 1940s is concerned to me it would be no problem. The idea is to see you rolling stock on another layout. if you sent a modern high cube car I would put it a few cars back in the train if you wanted for photos unless you wanted to see it behind a real locomotive . Post your information and we can try it and see if it works.
