Kitbashing Bachmann 2-6-0 Alco into CNR

Enough talk, time to show WIP pictures!

After filing down most useless details, I worked a little bit on the piping. I decided to keep cast-on sand lines. They are approximately at the right place and they looks rather good for cast-on details.

Blue masking tape was used to make the metal band on the boiler following Pat Durand's trick.



Checking my Bachmann Consolidation junk box from previous kitbashes, I found out their water line was an almost perfect fit for a 2-6-0. I recycled them and used electric wire to lengthen the condensate line. The metal wire is rather useful to pin and glue the parts together. I'll probably add anohter pin to align the water line near the cab.
