On the road with Doctor Wayne

And a few more pictures from Charlie and Ed and Wayne's excellent railroad adventure. As best I can recall, this is some of what we saw on Saturday, August 11th:

After waiting for first an eastbound...




...and then a westbound to clear at Leetsdale...



...we got our first look at the 765...



...although she was gone in a flash:



After grabbing a shot of another eastbound at Leetsdale...



...we headed up to New Brighton, where we saw this eastbound doublestack...



...followed by another...



...and then this one...



...before the 765, heading west, arrived on the scene:



While the 765 took her train to Homewood Junction, where it would be turned, this eastbound passed through New Brighton:



Not too much later, 765 returned, putting on a show for the gathered masses...



...who had, unfortunately for them, clustered too close to the tracks. The ensuing second-hand smoke should, hopefully, make them a little more safety-conscious next time.



While the Special headed to Conway to detrain her passengers and pick-up new ones, Charlie hustled us back to Leetsdale, where we saw this eastbound...



...then a westbound...



...and another eastbound:



As the Special passed, another westbound rolled into town...
