I guess I avoid "chat rooms", because my fingers cannot "punch keys" as fast as my mind can come up with words to speak.
Chat rooms are kind of like communication by semaphore signaling, or flashing light.
Posting in threads like this one can be relaxing, because there is no "urgency" in getting the keys punched, and I can preview, and correct before sending. Even with that, there are occasional misunderstandings of what I meant, because of the words I chose, and/or the absence of "vocal expression" to color in the complete intention of the comment.
Then, there is the "too much time spent at the computer, and that cuts into "living" time.
Finally, I am old, My computer is old and slow, and there are too many other things that need to be done.
"Time on the computer" is also one of my, *too often used excuses* for not getting projects worked on. :o

We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!
