Great thread Wayne. I have saved it to a folder in "my documents" so that I can easily bring it up when I do a similar job on my Athearn "mike." I have found that the stock Athearn wheel treads are so slick that they pull terribly "out of the box." After being run a while and allowing the drivers to slip, the pulling power has improved. When I first tried it out, I could not pull more than 6 cars. It now pulls 10-12 cars without too much trouble, but a mike ought to be able to pull at least 15-20 cars on level track.
