Usually Santa Fe never let their locos get that bad looking. But yours are on shortlines that probably don't have the facilities much less the money for cleaning. So you're OK w/ some "over" weathering. BTW what do those initials stand for?

I think they got all kind of unused engines from that area (Indiana, Ohio) to keep the MAW at life. They did even save the time to patch it from CNUR to MAW.
