Mike, what is the appeal of Homosote?
I have never used it, one guy up here has his layout done with it, but the others say it is expensive, hard to find and never has a smooth surface as the density is not consistent.
Mine is a combination of plywood and foamboard. Plywood where I wanted the turntables mounted.
Foam where I wanted to cut out under the tracks.
