Ditch Light Replacment Help ~ Athearn SD70M
#2
Ugh, that is one of the reasons why I model 1977-1983. I HATE ditch lights because their such a pain in the ass. Wiring them up and hiding the wires is a REAL chore. I gave up on the UP SD70M's I had and sold them. Don't even know why I bought the boxy little POS in the first place, but sold one and traded the other and got more SD40-2's. Mars lights on WP units are more fun anyway. And MUCH easier to do.

Try looking at Kato and see if they have their SD70MAC ditch lights as a seperate part. Those are a MUCh superior design than the Athearn ones.

And you guys from Canada, I love you all and thank you for ALL of your railroad contributions over the years. But you can have your ditch lights back. They SUCK.
