Central Ohio Prototype Modelers meet

Was held this past weekend in the Marion Union Depot in Marion, Ohio. This was my first Prototype Modelers Meet and quite a bit of fun with some great models displayed, great clinics, great conversations, an outstanding venue and great folks. The final tally was over 400 models and 60 participants.

As those in the Central Ohio area know, Marion is also a great location for train watching - the depot is surrounded by three double track mains:
- CSX (former Erie and NYC) east-west on the North side of the station
- CSX (former C&O) north south on the west side of the depot
- NS (former N&W / Pennsy) north south on the east side of the depot

The NS business train came through on Saturday evening - a nice surprise and quite a treat. It's a beautiful train, even to a steam guy!

Denis Blake, his wife Robin and Kevin Tweed organized this inaugural event and did a great job. Denis is planning on hosting another show next year April 28-30 - mark your calendars. Thanks to those folks!
