Steve thanks for sharing this nice tutorial. I've been using almost the exact same process as you for a couple years now, so I can add my voice to yours in saying "it works!" The only thing I've not done is add grout to it. who woulda thunk? Great Job. I do highly recommend baking it on cookie trays at 200 degrees for a couple hours or however long it takes depending on the moisture content to kill the possible organism factor. And don't turn your oven up to 500 to get the job done in a hurry; spill dirt on the stove elements; and stink your house up for two days... Wive's do seem to have a problem with that... Don't ask how I know ...
