:hey: Pure serendipity - I stopped at the local antique shop a little while ago - well, my wife did and brought me along - and bought a stamped metal toy train from the showcase. I thought it was a little pricey, but my wife encouraged me to buy it, so...
The proprieter wrapped it all up out of the case, and due to moving and surgeries I only just got around to unwrapping it yesterday. To my surprise, it has a wind-up locomotive and it works, right down to the bell that rings as it rolls.
One red locomotive, steam but shrouded, one matching caboose, two ore cars and two tank cars. One of the tank cars is lettered for Hafner Oil, and underneath it carries a manufacturer's plate by Hafner of Chicago, ILL.
Now I just have to find or make some track for it - it's slightly larger than O gauge.
