A gauge video?
#1
I've been playing around with Windows Movie Maker, and i put together a little tour of my layout using old videos from 2006 to 2009. It occured to me, that just like there is a "Gauge" E-zine that comes out every once in a while, we might be able to make a small video of the member's layouts and projects, and maybe even demonstrate certain skills. I know many of you have impressive layouts, and most digital cameras have a "video" function, so i say go for it!

If anyone is interested, let me know. It can consist of a layout tour, maybe gauge updates, prototype information, helpful tips and whatever else we think we can cram into a reasonable amount of time.

Anyways, here is the video i put together, which i think is a good "prototype" for a layout tour anywhere else, with clips being narrated, and interesting things pointed out in the scene.

I should point out these are cherry-picked clips and parts of other train videos i made a few years ago, and they don't always represent how I usually run or how it looks today. I'm planning on making new videos of the layout as it is currently, as soon as i have time to get down there and clean it up! Since i have a good working fleet of Conrail switchers and my Silverliner III MUs are running, i might do a video showing operation on my layout.
