Howdy; Getting slightly off subject, I too have a few Chessie circus color kitten HO Athearn locomotives that were painted by a friend about a year before the Conrail take-over of the NE bankrupt railroads. One is a GP30 for the Reading, another is a GP7 for the CNJ, and the last is a BB U-Boat for the Lehigh & Hudson River. They were done as part of a possible Chessie take over of the RDG/CNJ/L&HR display done for officials of the NJDOT, SEPTA, the CNJ & RDG in 1975. There were at least 8 or more others done for the display, which was briefly shown in the RDG offices at Reading Terminal. The rest were mainly SW's of some type and one RDG F. After the display was finished, the locos were give away to friends of the my pal, who was a Reading engineer. All were dummy locos, with no details except for the shake in the box bits. (I suspect with hindsight, they were only bog standard Athearn Chessie locomotives that were only re-lettered with new reporting marks). My three are packed away in boxes back in a basement in New Jersey.

Back to the 1533, there has been a rumor that Division Point Brass http://www.divisionpoint.com
is producing a batch of CNR h6 4-6-0 sometime in the near future, depending on pre-orders and other factors. The New Hope & Ivyland still seems to be working on the 1533, but it's only stabilizing work to keep her from getting any worse, mainly rust renovel and painting. The ofical NH&I word is she is still in line for overhaul to return to service, after the Mexican 4-8-4 is finished.

Have fun - Dave
