Here's a Bachmann CN GP9 with some added details and weathering:
I added A-Line sunshades and a Details West winterization hatch. I also had some old Juneco spark arrestors on hand and added those, too. I still need to add the nose bell, a radio antenna, and rerail frogs. I have a feeling that these locos didn't get all these details when they were still in the 1700 numbers, but what the heck. I had a very, very hard time trying to duplicate the Bachmann shade of CN green and finally threw up my hands and used Floquil Pullman Green, which I blended in with weathering. The whole thing doesn't look too bad, and the price and availability beat Athearn RTR and Atlas Classic.
