Google Earth+Ebay = new project?

I've hacked the frame, and now have a 0-6-0. Well, it's a 0-4-0 now until I get the center driver installed 35 . But, the center driver will need a gear, and I've ordered a NWSL gear set, and will use a motor I have on hand. I'm not sure how I will build electrical pickups. I still have more hacking to do on the frame to modify the pilot, and to make clearance for the trailing truck.

The kit includes two pilot truck frames, but these are of the inside bearing type. The prototype has outside-bearing type pilot and trailing trucks, and I think the model would look better with the same style of trucks to help balance the looks of the frame with the relatively wide boiler and cab. So, I found some D&RGW K-36 style trucks online, and should be here next week. Once the trailing truck is assembled, I can go about the final frame modifications. Since I cut off the cast-on frame and spring rigging for the 4th axle, I will need to build a new frame detail to go behind the 3rd driver and under that cab. I'll probably use styrene, because I don't want too much weight behind the last driver, otherwise, the model may want to tip backwards Eek .

I've also done some work on the superstructure. The cost of brass detail parts can add up, so I am trying to make the most use of the plastic details that came with the kit and from my scrap box. I've installed an air pump and an air reservoir, and a bracket to hold the bell.
