I finally figured out why some of my designs were not working out right, all white faces of the models need to be facing out and the model needs to be closed I found a pdf e-book that steps you through the process of using sketch up for 3D printing It seems so simple now Watch out all will be 3D printing rolling stock and maybe some background buildings as soon as I get some more plastic filament
