What else I remember:
The motor. K's motor had 2 tags coming off the brushes. The top one was bent down to contact the motor body, the magnet pole I think. This was electrically soid with the frame and the axles. The bottom one was bent outward and twisted or turned and a piece of phosphor-bronze strip soldered through it and bent and sprung to bear on the back of the tires (or tyres) of the insulated drivers for pickup.
