I'll mention this to Packey, but we have a number of mods right now and every time we need to update, he needs to reinstall each mod. Some of them require manually changing up to 25 different files, so he's not that keen on adding any new mods because of that and the inherent risks involved with these mods, ie: system crashes....

Yeah, there is, but at one point it didn't matter, the software ignored that limit. I don't know right now if that has been fixed or not. That only applies to direct uploads, there can be as many links as you want.
