Progress has been a little slow on CR at the moment as I've been working on small projects - building structure kits, wiring decoders into locos, repainting stuff, applying decals, etc.
That said, I think Cane River as it stands in it's current form is about as far as the layout is going to go.
It was my first ever layout, and I've made a lot of mistakes on it that I could only learn through doing. I couldn't be happier with the layout, but I shall be retiring it soon, I think.
I've now got a new layout plan in mind for the replacement for it, which will allow for a long mainline run as well as a fair amount of switching. I'll be starting a new thread on that layout soon, and will keep updating Cane River as and when something is done on the layout.
Watch this space, I guess.
