I was given these when I bought a few old timetables for the Reading Crusader/Wall Street. At the time, these trains would have been the only "Former Reading" service with a refreshment car (Rebuilt from RDC-2 9165 and RDC-3 9166), so I can only assume that these coasters came from that train. I don't think the "push-pull" carried any refreshment cars (this was a train with two FP7s on each end and 5 coaches in the middle).

I thought these were neat, so why not share them? Hopefully, the new Rapido RDCs won't be too out of reach, I'd love to model these short trains (typically each 2-3 RDCs, one of with being a refreshment car).

The Crusader and the Wall Street were special at that time, since they were really the only "alternative" to the Northeast Corridor to go between Philadelphia and New York (technically Newark, NJ). Not surprisingly, these trains were cut by SEPTA in the early 80s, since most of their route lay outside the Philadelphia area, and the route was relatively redundant.

In their last decade or so, they ran over the old Reading New York Branch, and then briefly over the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Corridor to Newark Penn Station were passengers either hitched a ride on the PATH into lower Manhattan, or an Amtrak/NJ Transit train into New York Penn Station.
