Thanks for sharing the history! It's a nice looking set of rolling stock.
I picked up an Athearn metal round roof N&W box car at a show...can't recall if it's 50' or 40'. Anyway, the roofwalk had been attacked by the metal crud and was too brittle to use. I may commit some horrible anachronistic heresy and find some nice new etched Plano roofwalks to replace it, someday. :o
For now it rests in the pile of forlorn kits, glad to be purchased and in some compassionate modeler's home, but waiting to be assembled and get out on the high iron.
