Then I masked off the roof and painted the clerestory sides: https://imgur.com/a/76g3mOx

I painted the bottom of the frame black. I didn't worry too much about good painting technique as none of this is really going to be visible on the final model: https://imgur.com/a/VvB5H33

The clerestory has these little vents on it. I added a little dot of brown paint to them to make sure they stood out from the rest of the clerestory: https://imgur.com/a/k0oJRss

I decided I was unhappy with the shade of grey on the roof so I re-did it with a darker grey. I like this a lot better: https://imgur.com/a/ymBYe8r

I did have to go through and do some touch-ups because of paint bleed or spots where the masking wasn't as good as it could be.

Now on to assembling the rest of the kit.
