Hello,
Fitting the first parts of the brake equipment. Brake cylinder with clevis by Tichy. The hops were bent out of 0.3mm bronze wire.
Triple valve and air reservoir.
The frame monted lever followed. The lever guidance was made out of the flat brass profile deliveres with the kit. For not only trusting a pure CA gluement, the ends of the guidance was drilled and pinned by the means of short wire pieces. This also imitates bolts.
Now starting the real rigging. At first the bus pipe was made out of 0.8mm brass wire and mounted.
In this order the pipe rigging it was made:
1. pipes beween triple valve and air reservoir, 2 of them
2. pipe between triple valve and the rear of the brake cylinder
3. Pipe between bus pipe and triple valve
The rod rigging:
- brake cylinder clevis and lever (this lever is floating)
- rod between the two levers, both in the middle position
- rod between the full floating lever and B-end, alle rods ends on the model beneath the truck bolsters
- rode between the other lever and A-end
- rod for the hand brake between B-End and the chain on the brake cylinder
- a tiny chain between end of the rod and brake cylinder lever closes the gap
The last piece of the brake were the winding mechanism, the brake wheel, relief valve, tube therefor and a lenghth of chain leading to the lever under the end sill.
