Nuther update pic.Nice thing about these small layouts is being able to run a road all the way across with only one piece of plastic. Green building is basically a place holder. It was made for the origonal layout and was never finished (still isn't)Putting a building on the layout just seemed like a good idea.

Hmmmm, green building on green grass. They tend to blend together, have you considered red grass? Whatever you decide I know it will look good Catt.

The side of the "green" building you don't see is a big blank black wall. Actually I have not decided on what buildings to make except they will be rail served industries.By the way if you look at the upper right hand corner you will see where Tyson's creek cuts across the corner of the layout.(or will once I do the water)

First official building for the new layout. It's a big (long) one.13 5/8" long or 247 Z feet. Building is not done because some dummy forgot to buy the roofing material during the last trip to the store.

When you figure out who that was I'd fire the slacker if I were you!

I have found the "slacker" to be most unreliable lately.Maybe working on four layouts with major revisions planned for two of them may be part of the problem(s).
Oh well he (me) is still having fun.Problem for the moment is what do I build for the second building for this layout ?

I still don't have a clue about the second building, but in January I will start working on some projects that will work on either Z layout. Here is a pic of the first two projects. These will be kit-bashed from four different Showcase Miniatures Z scale truck kits. The cabs are from SM's utility trucks and the chassis are from the Ford COE's,sleeper version on the left ,daycab on the right.
About 90% of the prototypes seem to be painted white ,which means these will not. The sweet part is I can duplicate these in N scale too.

After seeing some of the work done in Sci Fi modeling, at 1:2256 scale, 1:220 ( Z scale ) looks HUGE !
