The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Good Morning!

The heat wave was broken last night when thunder showers came through Pennsylvania.
It's a bearable 70 deg going up to 78 instead of over 90 the last 5 days.

Good evening all

I hope you surgery went well Matt. The PT was thew hard part for me when I had my knees done but the procedure for pt changed between the first and second one after I refused the no pain no gain reasoning of the first pt guy and threw him out.

Jim, I hope you can get some improvement with your eyes. I finally had new glasses last week and even had sunglasses made by an online supplier. It cost almost 20 bucks for a nice pair of prescription glassed and I think I can see even better with them than the more expensive ones from the local eye care center.

I had a doctor appointment today to go over my blood work which was absolutely perfect everywhere. My blood pressure was even below the "new" normal.  Not saying there are no problems, but  I can try some new (to me) drugs for my arthritis.  I have to go next Monday for injections in my shoulders. I am hoping to avoid surgery for them.

I got my pole saw out yesterday and cut the lower limbs off 5 trees around the yard. They were hitting me in the face when I mowed. I will have to clean them up tomorrow. It was brutally hot yesterday and the doctor appointment in the middle of the day today just killed my ambition.

Fiat Fan, It sounds like you had a great week end.

I talked with DrWayne briefly Saturday. Not much change. I just wish they would let all thewse people try all of these new drugs they are testing. It seems sad that there may be hope where there has not been any before yet the people that need these the most can not try them.

Take care everyone.

Good evening everyone,

The surgery on my ankle went pretty good. I was to be there for 6:30 a.m and my surgery was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. By 8:00 the nurses were in my room along with the surgeon to take me to the O.R. I told my fiance bye and the only thing I remember after that was getting to the O.R and moving over to the table. Next thing I remember was them grabbing ahold of my arms because they told me that I started to swing at the doctor who was giving me a nerve block in the recovery room. The doctor said the surgery took a little bit longer than it should have because of all the scar tissue he needed to remove from my previous surgeries. I woke up in my room around 12 and by 12:30 we was on our way home.

The nerve block started to wear off about an hour ago and I will be the first to admit that I have cried because of the pain. Needless to say I took my medication when I started to feel it wearing off. I really just want to go out to my workbench and continue working on my projects but my fiance told me no that I need to relax. I told her that’s relaxing haha. I will wait until she goes to leave for work tonight and go out to the workbench. My 16 year old daughter is on “nurse” duty during the night while Ang is at work.

Well I just wanted to give you all an update to how everything went today. Hope you all have a great morning/afternoon/evening/night depending where you are in the world. Take Care my Friends.

Greetings, gang.

A low grade thunderstorm just passed through leaving behind an inch and a quarter of rain. Once the clouds move away the wind will pick up to over 40 mph at times.

Yesterday was fairly low key. My daughter had said that she was planning to stop by but never showed. Otherwise not much occurred until baseball at 5:30. A hot dog, popcorn, and an ice cream bar were enjoyed during the game. Baseball again at 10 this morning but after the rain I expect that will be canceled. Next game after that will possibly be at 6:30 this evening for the youngest great-grandson. He's 7 so those games are always entertaining. No games tomorrow as I have an eye exam at 10:45.

Jim - hope your recovery improves.

Charlie - yes, it was definitely a lot of fun with family.

Matt - glad your surgery went well. Here's to a speedy recovery.

All stay safe.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Thank you for the well wishes and everything. I am feeling much better today and not in as much pain. Yesterday I slept a good amount of the day away as I kept taking my medication every four hours. Last night I got a full night of rest. Monday night was just terrible for me as I barely slept. My plans of going out to my workbench didn’t happen as I was in to much pain. Hopefully since I’m feeling better today, I can get out to it and start working on my projects. As of right now I am sitting outside enjoying the nice cool weather we are having. That is all I have for an update on myself. Take care my friends.

Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 57 this morning outside my window. Looks to be a string of pleasant days ahead according to the NWS. Mild daytime temperatures and cool nights for sleeping.

Yesterday was another quiet day for the most part. The morning game was canceled as expected, along with the t-ball game at 6:30. That left only the jv game at 5:30. No games today as I have an eye exam at 10:45. That pretty much precludes any other activities for the remainder of the day. Only 1 game tomorrow at 1 PM.

Gas spiked on Tuesday in celebration of the Iran agreement. The chain station I normally go to raised the price 20 cents. Other stations surprisingly did not. Then the chain station fell back in line with everyone else. Of course, any guesses on which day I needed to buy gas?

All stay safe.

Good morning all.

Today's main event:
waiting for the appliance repair guy to arrive and determine what parts are needed so our refrigerator's freezer compartment works right.  With the unknown delay for a later visit, waiting for parts to arrive.

Finding a local company was really hard using search engines, fancy websites for third parties posing as a local company with highly trained technicians, then the phone number transferring to a different-named company working from a house address.  Very deceptive and frustrating.  I miss the yellow pages.

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 62 this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Only 68 for a high today along with an 80% chance of rain. I just looked at radar and it looks like the rain will go way south of me with maybe only a brief light shower.

Eye exam was a little disappointing. The optometrist I've been going top for over 20 years refused to update the prescription for my computer glasses. Time to find a new optometrist. Friday had only one baseball game but it was long rather than play a double header. My grandson's team pulled out the victory in the bottom of the 7th inning. Yesterday was somewhat quiet. I did get the hotshot freight out and try to run it but had problems with lots of random uncouplings. Gave up after about an hour. No major plans for today other than maybe a bike ride.

Gas was $3.39 yesterday when I went for my bike ride.

All stay safe.

Greetings, gang.

58 headed for 78 under hazy skies. Below normal temperatures til the weekend.

Very quiet day yesterday. Just watched movies and read. This morning my daughter will be stopping by to pick up her cooler left over from last weekend. Also a baseball game at 10 and then one at the same place at 5:30. Then a quick trip to another town for a third game. Doesn't look like much else will be accomplished other than maybe a bike ride this afternoon.

All stay safe.
