Good morning all. I hope your weekend is going well for you all. Here we are just a few minutes after 5 AM and it's already 65 outside. It's been a while since the furnace has turned on, so we know that the weather is getting hot out. Great weather for the folks that are here for Spring Training. It's hard to believe that we're just about two weeks away from the opening of baseball season.
Went out target shooting in the desert yesterday, nice day but a bit windy. We use plastic bottles with a bit of water in them for ballast as well as golf balls for targets. It was fun yesterday when we hit a bottle and the wind blew it around giving us a moving target to shoot at. 8-) The downside was that once a bottle was hit and it lost its water, the wind kept knocking it down again. Oh, in case you were wondering, we do bring back all the bottles and put them in the recycle bin. As far as the golf balls go, we try to find them to shoot at them again, but sometimes they seem to disappear in the brush. If you hit a ball just right, it'll jump in the air as if it was hit with a golf club and so chasing them down can be a challenge. :o We also collect as much of the brass that we can and eventually take them to a salvage yard. Apparently, they do take in spent brass shells, so we do help the environment and get a few bucks back in return .

Good morning. It's 57° with 100% humidity. The high will be 68°. Cloudy with a fair chance of rain and thunderstorms all day.

Close to eighteen hours straight of rain with more due today. Spotted one leak thus far, at the bottom of a window. When it dries out a bit I'll back-fill that area with foam. Hope that'll be enough for now. Really need to get the damage to the over roof fixed. No way that's happening with rain coming down and not with muddy ground under the ladder. Part of that work will be taking place right next to the service pole so care must be taken or it could be a very shocking event. I can't be out in wet weather anyway as my prosthesis can't get wet. I had ordered one for all-weather use but I guess some bean counter decided I didn't deserve that. What I got feels like it's covered in foam or cork with a thin flesh colored outer covering. I guess it's enough that I can walk on it and drive a vehicle. Getting in and out of my van is easy enough but a car or a pickup without a step is a different kettle of fish.
No plans for today except to stay dry.

Good Morning Blue
Sun and clouds @ 14 degrees
Cold till Tuesday.
A casino trip yesterday with my cousin and wives, yes we lost as usual.
Still cheaper than a ball game or theme park.
No train news, but a good group on chat last night.

Haven't done much today. Sprayed some liquid rubber sealer up under the window frame where I saw the leak this morning.
Tested a disk drive. Had to make a couple of minor adjustments. Now it works like new.
Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Greetings, gang.
Cloudy, breezy, and 50 degrees this evening in the deep south. One more cool day tomorrow then it starts to warm up.
Back from renaissance fair and everyone is doing their own thing. On the way back I saw an SP hopper car but didn't get a photo. It's only a few miles down the road so I may try tomorrow. I'm going to try to negotiate for a down day tomorrow while it's still cool. Then on Tuesday we'll hit the road for more activities. Yesterday My Fair Lady and I had our first visit to Ikea. Interesting to say the least. We did manage to pick up a few trinkets.
All stay safe.

Evening all. Been a while since I posted, I have been stopping in about every day just haven't felt like posting. Sorry but just been that way or I would make a post then get doing something else and accidently go off of page and there it goes. Not to much anyway has been going on with me anyway. Sold my Lionel Standard Guage set from 1931. Getting some more items together that I don't really want/use and just sit here collecting dust. Found a box for a car but can't find the car but don't remember selling it either.
Well I finally have accepted I've lost it. for about 2 hrs I have been looking for a car as I had a empty box for it ( or I thought) well just found it in its box so My only answer can be I looked at that box and pulled another box out by mistake and was thinking it was it. :o
Well prayers for all hope all had a good weekend
Getting this posted so I don't forget lol

IKEA has one item that we love: OMSORG It's an 18" plastic shoehorn. We keep a collection of them everyplace where we change in and out of shoes and it's an interesting gift when you visit (especially for those of us who are, well, ...)
The item we've spent the most on there is IVAR shelving -- it holds my layout up. And Dayle has been buying one pattern of their rugs like mad.

We went to the Kitchener train show today. Lots of flea market, a few organized dealers, organizations and a moderate number of layouts. Dayle bought a couple of plates and a couple of buildings (low relief hotel and a Gents & Ladies). I picked up an old control panel covered with Atlas components and realized when I got home that they are designed for common rail which I was going to not use on this layout. Maybe I think again.

Good morning and top 'o' the day to all of ye. It's 38° with 92% humidity. The high will be 55° and cloudy.
Morning Afternoon
Looks like somebody up north left the door open and the cooler weather came through again. Somebody hasn't had enough yet I guess.
My right knee was hurting last night so my leg spent the night leaning against the bedside table. I've gotten to where I can put it on in under half a minute.
No plans today except to stay inside where it's warm.

And a great Monday, March 17th to ya all. And may ya been havin' a fine St. Paddy's Day. If you are blessed by meeting up with a Leprechaun, remember these words to Darby O'gill from King Brian, the finest Leprechaun of them all; "Three wishes I'll grant ye, great wishes an' small! But you wish a fourth and you'll lose them all!", so I hope you'll not be askin' for more than your three wishes.
Weather-wise, we're looking at a high of around 87 today, not a record (98), but some fine weather regardless. Food-wise, as usual, it's corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight, even though it's origins are not from Ireland. Well, the corned beef is kinda-sorta, but the cabbage thing...more likely not.

It's been a while, but I hope I can be a part of this community as I used to be years back when we were all part of the original The Gauge.

Welcome back. I'm not the best for attendance here but they allow me
Afternoon all Received a 2346 B&M GP-9 in the mail today and it actually looked better than the pics. Very pleased with it. Runs excellent seeing its like 50 years old almost. So now all I have to buy is a post-war 6428 U.S. Mail car to complete the actual train set it was in 12800.
There isn't a lot going on here just relaxing some as its a chilly light wind and rain day. earlier when I was out they said it was like a 36 degree wind chill factor it was like 53 at that time.
Wife's TV is coming tomorrow So that means her present one 35" flat will goto bedroom and that one 32" flat will goto train room for my monitor the computer that's down there.
Hope all are doing well and any out on west coast the earth quake didn't effect you in any harmful way.
